Catch up with Róisín’s Senior Infants!

Mar 24, 2025

Senior Infants have been very busy in Term 2! Take a look at some of the things we have been doing this term.

We celebrated St.Patrick’s Day by dressing up for Lá Glas and taking part in some lovely art activities. Here, we wrote about why we feel lucky!

We have been working really hard during our Phonics lessons. Here are some photos of us making words with the digraphs that we have been learning.

We have been having great fun during Free Play this term. So far this term, we have been learning about the Dentist, the Travel Agents and the Farm. We love the role play corner where we can dress up! Our class are great at building with Lego and love practicing our cutting and sticking skills at the Writer’s Workshop!

In our Maths lessons, we learned all about length. We measured the length of different items including the window and our whiteboards. We worked in groups which was great fun. We estimated the length first and then measured with cubes and lollipop sticks!

Learning outdoors, sponge-painting art and some quiet reading time are some of the other activities we have been doing this term. We are really looking forward to Term 3 where we will hopefully have some nice, sunny weather allowing for more outdoor lessons and fun activities!
