February Fun: A Whirlwind of Learning in Marcella’s Senior Infants!

Mar 3, 2025

Wow, Senior Infants! What an incredible month of February we’ve had! It’s been a whirlwind of exciting discoveries, creative adventures, and energetic fun.
First stop: Africa! We journeyed to the vibrant continent of Africa, exploring its fascinating animals and diverse landscapes. We learned about the amazing animals that roam the savannah, from majestic lions to towering giraffes. We also discovered the jewellery of the Maasai tribe, marveling at the intricate designs and vibrant colours. We even tried our hand at creating our own versions, using all sorts of wonderful materials. The results were spectacular!

We were captivated by the heartwarming Big Book, Handa’s Hen. We followed Handa’s adventures, discovering the animals she encountered along the way.

Then, we turned into mini-artists channeling the incredible Piet Mondrian. We explored his bold, colourful style, creating our own masterpieces with the primary colours. Our classroom was a burst of artistic energy!
And to top it all off, we had some fantastic GAA coaching sessions! We ran, we jumped, we threw, and we caught! We learned new skills and had so much fun working together as a team. We are future GAA stars in the making!

Of course, no February would be complete without Valentine’s art. We had lots of fun creating adorable love bugs.
February has been a busy, exciting, and incredibly rewarding month. We are so proud of all the hard work and enthusiasm shown by our Senior Infants. We can’t wait to see what amazing adventures March will bring!
Keep up the fantastic work, everyone!
